Description: |
These colorful irregularly shaped tiles are formed from 1/8-inch-thick slabs of stoneware clay
rolled onto a particular patterned surface. The slabs are painted with medium-green underglaze, then each of the raised squares is additionally decorated with lavender underglaze and dotted with black underglaze. Sealed with a glossy clear glaze, they are fired to2300 degrees, then broken into shards ranging in size from ˝ inch to 1 ˝ inches. They’re waterproof and frost-resistant, and we’ve used them outside on planters, birdhouses, birdbaths, and flowerpots. Inside, they’re a lively complement to coat racks, lamp bases, picture frames, and mirrors. Up to 15 pieces, depending on sizes of individual tiles. |
