Description: |
These colorful irregularly shaped tiles are formed from 1/8-inch-thick slabs of stoneware clay
rolled onto a particular patterned surface. They are painted with rich yellow underglaze, then
each of the raised squares is additionally decorated with turquoise underglaze and dotted with lavender underglaze. Sealed with a glossy clear glaze, they are fired to 2300 degrees, then
broken into shards ranging in size from ˝ inch to 1 ˝ inches. They’re waterproof and frost-resistant, and we’ve used them outside on flowerpots, planters, mailboxes, birdhouses, birdbaths. Inside they’re fun on frames, lamp bases, spice racks, and plant stands. Up to 15 pieces, depending on sizes of individual tiles.
