For those of you who prefer to break your tiles yourselves, this whole tile is approximately 7 inches square and a fraction over 1/8 inch thick. It’s formed from a rolled-out slab of stoneware clay, and decorated using handmade stamps and roulettes, several of the patterns taken from fragments of antique bricks found in our yards. The tile is painted with two unique glazes to achieve the golden color breaks, and fired to 2300 degrees. It’s waterproof and frost-resistant.
